In the Sun Too Long? Try Microdermabrasion

April 17, 2012 by

Summer is almost here and most of us will get our share of sunshine, tanning and sunburn too. What can we do for our skin that has been exposed to excessive sunshine over the years?

There are a wide variety of cosmetic dermatology treatments available today, for sun damage. Because sun damage involves damage to the skin’s natural collagen, collagen injections can be used to treat wrinkles and lines caused by to much exposure to the sun. Chemical peels and various abrasive procedures are another option for sun damage treatment.

Microdermabrasion,  a procedure that exfoliates the outer layers of the skin with a spray of fine crystals, can also be used to stimulate new skin growth. There are also a variety of laser and light techniques available to treat sun-damaged skin. Proper exercise and weight is also important to maintaining good all around skin conditions as well as the intake regularly of certain vitamins and minerals.

SilkPeel Vitamin Dermal Infusion

May 9, 2011 by

SilkPeel is one of the newest advanced skin care treatments.  The easiest way to get an understanding of anything new is to compare it to something you already may know.  So for starters we could compare it to microdermabrasion.  However it is so far superior to that it is almost an insult to make that comparison. Microdermabrasion leaves you messy, SilkPeel is called the Black tie treatment because you can go straight out because it “vacuums” vs “sandblasting”  SilkPeel also infuses vitamins or acne treatments while it cleans, all in one pass. Microdermabrasion often leaves uneven red marks, SilkPeel uses diamond brushes for a smooth clean finish. Check out before and afters for SilkPeel for acne. ( you have t scroll down a bit) It really is one of the most popular, effective treatments that has become a real “crowd pleaser”. Everyone loves it.

Silkpeel Consults

April 18, 2011 by

Dr Lisa explains the Silkpeel process.

The Japanese will use shaving or a scapple to exfoliate the skin. This uses the same idea to use infusion to push vitamins and minerals into the skin to help the collagen to regenerate. This is much kinder to the skin than the old ways using microdermabrasian. This leaves the skin silky smooth. It gets rid of black heads. She can infuse Vitamin C and or  Lumixyl.  Her celebrity clients love it before a shoot.
